Today Hubby and I took a trip out to White Oak State Park to lollygag around and watch Cindy Lou set up her campsite. Hubby helped with the Tall Guy stuff and I supervised.
We feed the squirrels (a white squirrel!) and the ducks, squealed at a couple of snakes, and relaxed in the breeze coming in off the lake. I even did some quicky sketches. A fun time was had by all.

That white squirrel is very cool and it has big nuts. That snake would have had me packing up though.
The snakes were in the water 10 yards from the campsite. Cindy Lou wanted us to stay overnight in a tent. Not no, but hell no.
Oh ~ that snake would have given me a heart attack, and this from someone who sees gators on a fairly regular basis.
Wow, those are great pics!! :)
But the snake would have totally freaked me out, too.
We have red squirrels here but the big grey ones in town (12 miles south) We have one i n the yard with a white tail only.....he will be bait with the beacon. The snake....I'd be gone in a flash.
The snake looks rather content and happy, but . . . no. I'd rather feed the squirrel.
