I figured out my problem drawing McCain. I was trying too hard.
Tried a simpler approach and was pleased with the result.
Whaddaya think? Better? More recognizable?

Your definately on the right track - only the old guy needs more wrinkles.
much better....he is kind of a hard man to draw/sketch....pale face, white hair, wrinkles....kinda all blend together. Well, except for the dried egg on his chin.

Lost - Thanks! I checked out how the syndicated guys were drawing him. They were struggling too. Common features out there: Stovepipe head, sliver of white hair, tumorous looking jaw line.

I'm not enamored with either of the two major candidates this year. I think I'm more of a Libertarian, but Barr-Root '08 just doesn't have much of a ring to it. Barr-Root sounds like an industrial construction company or something.

I think you gave McCain a little too much stretch and angularity. So big puffy cheeks and a much shorter forehead.
Also seems like Obama's nose is too thin. And eyes a wee bit too twinkly.
Well, THAT was fun. Now it's time for you to share those Oreos. I love Oreos, too. Except the stuff in the middle.
Booda - I agree on the angularity. His forehead at the hairline is too square. It should look more like the top arc of *gasp* a hotdog. This Frankenstein hairline belongs on Joe Biden.
I think the height of the forehead though is pretty accurate for a charicature. Dude has miles of forehead due to the receding hairline.
